School is Out - What’s the State of the GPT Industry?

Thursday, May 15th, 2008 | General, Questions with 4 Comments

All of the schools are going to be getting out soon and summer will be here for students and teenagers. What does that mean for the GPT industry? Most teenagers who are apart of the GPT sites seem to have the reputation to be completely fraudulent. Others think that they are the cause to all of the offers being pulled.

We can debate all day long, but it is true that most students and teenagers do not care about the others in the GPT industry that are trying to make money. Teenagers just want money. Again, this is not ALL teenagers, but a lot think that way.

So with school getting out soon, what does that mean for the GPT industry? More teenagers and students completing offers and participating in GPT sites. Will this cause more incentivizable offers to be pulled from GPT sites and affiliate networks?

When I look at the overall members of most GPT sites, I noticed that TreasureTrooper, CashCrate, and SWATcash seem to have the most teenagers who are members of their sites. Although it is easy to see why; those are three largest GPT sites in the industry.

Is the GPT industry going to change or stay the same? Tell me your opinion!

Get Paid to Surf Message Boards

Thursday, April 10th, 2008 | General, Questions with 2 Comments

Alyssa from North Carolina sent me a message asking if get paid to surf message boards is a legitimate and good way to make money. To answer her question, I have decided to publish this post as a public response since it seems to be a pretty common question.

You can get paid to surf message boards, and it’s actually a lot easier then you think. Many forum communities will pay you to participate in their forums and you will rack up some type of points through their point system which can then be redeemed for money. In order to get paid, you will actually have to participate. You can participate by posting replies, making new threads, etc.

Unfortunately, you aren’t going to get rich when you get paid to surf message boards. You may only get paid $0.03 per post. The rate varies on which “get paid to surf message boards” type of site you join. Any site that claims you can make $1.00 per post, or any other absurd amount of money is a scam.

Get paid to surf message boards types of sites are only profitable by the ad clicks they generate. This means that they pay you with the revenue they make from the advertisements on the message boards (in most cases, Google Adsense). Most clicks will generate them around $1.00. So as long as visitors and forum members click the ads, they will be able to pay.

There are many type of message boards out there that will pay to participate in them. A few that come to the top of my head is myLot, WiredFlame, PaidForum.net, Trap17, and HostBidder (the last two pay you through services, not money). Most sites will pay through the most common payment processing services, such as eGold and Paypal. You will find very few “get paid to surf message boards” sites that will pay through checks.

Yes, you can actually get paid to surf message boards. It is possible, you just won’t be making a lot of money from it. If you already love posting on forums, meeting new people, and learning new things, then I’m sure you will love message boards that pay you to post and participate in them!

Building your empire or completing offers on GPT sites?

Sunday, November 4th, 2007 | General, Questions with 8 Comments

I’m quite sure we’ve had the feeling before. You’re tired of doing the same old repetitive task of signing up for sites, trying products, completing surveys etc. I felt like this awhile ago and I thought about this for a long time. Wouldn’t I rather be building my own “empire”, instead of completing offers for a few bucks an offer?

I started to get into affiliate marketing and building niche websites (sites that are based on one certain topic). I monetized these new websites with Google Adsense, private ad sales, and CPA (cost per action) networks. It all started pretty slow, but day after day I started to generate more clicks from Google Adsense, more advertisers purchasing ad spots, and more conversions from CPA networks. To this day, I am making about $10.00/day from Adsense by monetizing all my sites. It was all becoming clear. Instead of completing offers, I could start building websites, which will bring me in a steady stream of income. Monetizing this website and selling private ad slots was more profitable then I ever imagined. Here’s a run down of my October income report for MrGPT:

Google Adsense: $174.31 (About $6.00/day)
Private Ad Sales: $75.00
Sponsored Posts: $60.00
CPA Network (NeverBlueAds): $46.50
Total: $355.81

This is a steady income since I have at least two sponsored posts each month and the advertising slots are always sold out by the end of the month. The rest all depends how many clicks I receive, and how many conversions I get.

Unfortunately, a majority of people think they can’t create a successful site. I’ll tell you right now though, ANYONE can do this. Most of my readers are stay at home moms, so let’s take “makeup” as an example niche. You could set up a blog where you review different make up products, which you will monetize with Google Adsense and CPA networks. You may even want to email small make up companies and ask if they’d like to advertise on your site. Before you know it, you’ll have a steady income from your newly created website and be building your own empire.

If you’re interested in starting your own empire, feel free to contact me and I can provide you with some more information.
