Random Ramblings

Monday, October 1st, 2007 | General with

Just wanted to talk about some random ramblings that happened this week.

September 30, 2007

I was quite surprised to notice an amazing increase in traffic when I logged into my Google Analytics account today. An insane number of 7,000 unique visitors appeared in front of my eyes. Yes, one day resulting in over 17,000 Google Adsense impressions with $80.00 in commissions (in a single day) along with a huge boost in referrals on GPT sites. I wasn’t sure how I achieved this, but I quickly checked different traffic sources and was able to see the hits came from Bux.to, a site that allows you to make money online by viewing websites (PTC). I have no idea how my site was featured on there, but whatever the case was - thank you Bux.to.

Already October! Last month flew by! Most readers of this blog are stay at home mom’s with kids, so I bet you all are well aware that Halloween will be coming up before you know it! Have you got your costume for your children yet? If not, I recommend you take advantage of specials going on! As always, purchasing online is probably one of the cheapest ways you will get a costume (unless you really get a smoking deal). I have been able to bring you a special offer from Halloween Costumes. Take advantage of this offer and purchase using the image to the left for a special 10% discount!

I have taken a further step towards affiliate marketing. As the GPT industry remains to be on an unsteady base, people are scrambling to find other sources of income. Personally, the current status of the industry has not really affected me since I make more money from affiliate marketing and Google Adsense right now compared to GPT sites, but for others of you this may not be the case.

For these reasons, I recently applied for NeverBlueAds. The super-affiliate, Zac Johnson, was able to refer me to them and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They have been very professional and I even received a phone call from them just confirming my mailing address, method of payment, etc.

If you are not sure what affiliate marketing is, well, you should! You actually partake in affiliate marketing everyday when you complete an offer on GPT sites. These offers pay different affiliate networks to bring in leads (basically, a new customer), which then pay the affiliate networks “x dollars per lead”, and then the affiliate networks pay their publishers (the GPT site owners) and then from the publishers it goes to you.

NeverBlueAds is just another affiliate network out there that is very professional and very profitable! I have already integrated many of the ads with my funny videos site, along with some on the side of this page under “Special Offers”!

I just applied and was approved for never blue ads as well. Hopefully that works out well. I guess we’ll both find out!

Thanks for the info on Affilliate Marketing. You are def on your way with your site
and your various blogs. How do you begin? I look forward to more info from you
in the near future. Yes, GPT can be lucrative, but there is a point where you run
out of offers and wonder if getting referrals is really the best use of your time.
I would love to spend my days promoting something even more lucrative. If I am
going to promote then I want it to be worth every hour I spend. More info is totally
    welcome.
    Thanks,
    Heather D.

Hey Heather! Thanks for your comment :) .
I understand where you’re at. Many people are running into your same problem - running out of offers.

There are many CPA networks out there, such as NeverBlueAds that gives you a huge category of different offers where you get paid for every person that completes the offer. For example, NeverBlueAds has many different ZIP submit offers. You get about $1.20 for every person that enters their zipcode. Now if you are able to pay for traffic (Google Adwords is a great place to start), then you will hopefully get at least one person to enter their zipcode from the money you pay for sending visitors to your site.

We can discuss this further in email if you’d like :).

Dang, now I feel like I should create my own eBook. Haha.
