We’re back, after a few technical problems

Monday, June 11th, 2007 | General with

Sorry for the site downtime. My web host is 1&1, and I had the payment method set to Paypal. “They said” they tried to deduct the amount of money I owed for the month and it didn’t have enough, so they locked my account. I went out and bought a $30.00 prepaid card right after I figured my account was locked and updated my payment method with that. No dice, it wouldn’t charge the prepaid card. So by that time, it’s already the weekend and they aren’t answering the billing@1and1.com emails, nor do they have any billing support over the phone on the weekend. So now it is just a waiting game.

At least they unlocked my account after sending me a response, but they still haven’t charged my credit card or my Paypal. So I’m on hold here listening to Hotel California; not bad. If this gets resolved and I still get a collection notice I am going to be pissed. So, MrGPT is back!

Thats really bad, thats why I like to use credit cards while paying for hosting.

If I would have a credit card that would definitely be the way I pay also.
And just an update, they sent me my money back that they overcharged me after I threatened to go to another host.
